We attended a 21st birthday. Staff greeted us at the door with a tray of beers. Beautiful view of ocean, room was on the southern side and was well appointed with dance floor. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Meals were delicious, the best chicken I have ever had. The DJ was a little hard to understand but no big deal. Definitely recommend.

To all the Staff at City Beach Function Centre you have excelled yourself. If this is the standard you have tick all the boxes. From the wedding party to children that did not stop smiling and dancing a huge THANK YOU. I have was super impressed with the service, food and the attitude of the staff. They kepted an eye on all the guest and pre-empted table drinks so you always had something to toast with during the night. Right from the time we booked last year, Melissa was amazing and all over every detail for our day to the amazing and very professional team who looked after us and our guests on our wedding day and night. Absolutely nothing nice to say about this establishment besides the view. We were having our wedding here last year in April, due to Covid it was postponed, we were told we had to rebook within 12 months or forfeit our bond, they couldn’t provide us a date to accomodate our wedding unless we uninvited 40 people and had it in the smaller room. Our only option to have all our guest was to find another venue that could accommodate our guest. The venue kept over 1800 of our money even though no funds were spent and no date was picked. Because we had already ordered our wedding cake that they had “given” us a 150 voucher towards which we were meant to pick up tomorrow, they no longer will pay the 150 not even out of our deposit they kept. Really disappointing, terrible community spirit, terrible communication and we will certainly never return there or to steamers bar and grill. We love on the same street and it’s really disappointing, I’m meant to be getting married this weekend and instead I’m in tears for how poorly I’ve been treated by them. Goes to say, I do NOT recommend. Appalled.
