The BEST team, horses and mini-break! I've just returned from a 3 day, 3 night trail ride (booked via Globetrotters) at Chum Creek and can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Clancy and his team are so knowledgeable and fun, the horses are beautiful, amazing temperaments and very well-kept and the accommodation is top notch (the food is pretty awesome too!) Each of days we had a completely different ride; lots of canters and trots, mixed up with slower, more casual pace and lots of exciting routes and trails. Incredible views at some points as well! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape from the city, both for solo travelers or groups of friends. Thank you so much Clancy & team for making it such an awesome weekend.

Just did a three day ride in the Yarra Valley with Clancy and the crew at Chum Cheek Horse Riding and Huts, along with 7 others. Fantastic time, so will be back. Awesome horses, great tack, engaging guides, lots of attention to the gear, safety and rider comfort, beautiful trails with some good trotting and cantering, and to round it out vs a high country ride, great accommodation with every need catered to, and amazing food. The lunch at de Bortoli was a highlight, as was the wine tasting offered by one of Clancy's crew up at the mountain hut. I wont keep raving, but if you are thinking about this, please have a closer look.... It was fabulous!

Had our ride on a very rainy day and still enjoyed it very much!!! The horses were well trained, the fire was going in the hut, everyone was very friendly and the wines very enjoyable. Views are absolutely amazing!!! Highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic day out- the ride was sensational. Clancy and his team were always on hand to give riding tips and guided us safely through the terrain. The horses are very well looked after and we loved their unique names and personalities. Will be back for more. Thank you : )

I chose Chum Creek Horseriding to introduce my two teenage boys to horse riding, and I couldn't be happier. We did the 1 hour option, as I wasn't sure they'd like it, but they'd have happily done another hour. The horses were clearly very well cared for and had lovely temperaments. This was relieving for the boys, who are very conscious of animal welfare. I had lots of communication in the days leading up to the ride and the team were so friendly and showed by kids their clear appreciation for the horses and the beautiul landscape. My boys were asking me to book in again as we were driving home, so we'll be back!

If you’re after a proper trail ride then this is perfect; steep dips, rough trails, trotting and cantering. Lots of fun! The views are amazing too. The horses are wonderful and in very good condition which is great to see. If you’re after a more relaxed and dawdling trail ride though then this isn’t for you. It would be helpful as well if people were given a better briefing as even though the horses are great they’re still willful like any horse and I had to tell my husband myself how steer properly. There was also a couple on the ride who kept riding their horses way too close to others, even running into my horse’s behind at one point. Respecting horses’ personal space should definitely have been covered.
