Have eaten at every little restaurant in this small arcade. There is a reason why this place has long, multicultural lines as frankly, they do offer the best, tastiest food in the arcade. The Mushroom Tofu, the dumplings, the home-made noodles with mince and shaved cucumber, the spicy chicken sandwiches are all fantastic. The prices keep rising slowly but surely and it may not look the most appealing out of all the restaurants but it really is the best of the bunch. Highly recommended.

Friendly fast and cheap. Basic menu, but everything we tried was good. Portion sizes are great, and the prices are cheap. There’s a reason there’s always a line. Cash only is the one complaint.
Just like the name, Chinese Noodle Restaurant makes very basic food but it’s made very very well. It’s one of the handful traditional handmade dumpling restaurants left in Sydney. They make fantastic handmade dumplings ‘and’ noodles! When you dip their pork dumplings in soy & vinegar sauce, you’ll know why they’re still successfully running the business. I give this place 4 bears
Love this place! Have been coming here since my dad took me in high school over 20 years ago. And my dad had been coming here for years before that. The handmade noodles are my favourite! Love the eggplant and dumplings too. One of my favourite places. I take overseas visitors here too. My budgie also approves of my takeaway beef noodle soup
Best handmade noodles and dumplings. I love that place
Came here for lunch. Ordered the shallot pancake and steamed eggplant dumplings. The shallot pancake was a disappointment. Very doughy and not so much flaky, with barley any shallots in it. Eating through it was a struggle though helped with the condiments on the table. I've eaten better shallot pancakes elsewhere. The 12 eggplant dumplings had a very nice flavour - well braised and seasoned filling (mostly likely assisted with MSG). As much as I enjoyed the eggplant dumplings more than the shallot pancakes, the issue with the dumplings occurred while I struggled to get through the shallot pancakes, by drinking copious amounts of tea to get it down my throat, was that the dumplings started to cool and the wheat-based dumpling wrapping started to get hard and doughy as well. So my lunch became this long chew-fest, with a whole pot of tea (complimentary so that was thoughtful at least) and a bowl full of condiments to try to add moisture to this doughy experience. I can shuck dumplings like no tomorrow, but at this place the serving of 12 was enough. Large plump dumplings with thick flour casings. Service was pretty nonchalant, which was to be expected. Waitstaff asked me what I wanted before I got a chance to look through the entire menu, like I was interrupting her lunch or something. This place is an establishment in Chinatown and has been here ever since I can remember as a kid. Will I go back again? I'd need to think long and hard about it.
