It was my first time to shop for a proper insulation outerwear and I thought I had it all figured out. I went in there with a mission and try to avoid chit chat as much as possible. I was approached by staff in a very friendly manner and he wasn't in a rush at all to answer numerous questions about the recommendations he put forward. The staff member was very knowledgeable without sounding arrogant and condescending. He even showed us how to care for the down jacket (packing it back into its case, how to dry it, and how to wash/clean it). When it was time to pay for the item, the staff didn't even hesitate to get me new stock upon my request (instead of me buying the jacket that has been tried on since it has been on display). I can say that the experience I had in Macpac vs their competitor in Westfield Chermside (starts with a K) is much much better.

Clothings seems good quality. They have discounts for members. I have been able to get a refund quite easily in the past, however the staff member seemed annoyed. Not sure what the difference is between range at this store and Kathmandu but perhaps it’s just a loyalty/ brand preference?
Precise, articulated and genuine knowledge of products by an athletic male in his 20's. Showed me a backpack and taught me more about travelling than I knew possible. Felt like I found a travel buddy

Cannot contact store directly where i am awaiting arrival of item ordered. The 1800 number given is always busy kept forever waiting and most times disconnected. When finally put through to chermside store, assistant hung up!
