One of my fav Ramen restaurants in Sydney, was a little off the night we had it, but it’s generally really good

Ramen was good but the container was small and felt like I only had a little. The amount of rice they served me was equivalent to having 1 piece of bread. I also ordered dumplings which each size was similar to having a strawberry and the taste wasn't the best. I did not like the part where I had to pay for an extra fee for a container to take dessert home. Had to also pay for a surcharge at the end with my mastercard so it wasn't ideal unless you had cash. I also did not like the staffs attitude as they barely showed any sign of gratitude at the end.

This establishment is reasonably priced to compete with Ippudo. Again, with any japanese ramen place you will usually have to wait as they don't take bookings (I waited 10-15min on a Saturday night at around 7pm). I ordered their signature Hakatamon Tonkotsu Ramen that is priced at 18.80 (10/04/2021). I have been to Mappen in Sydney CBD and this is a step up in terms of the soup base quality which is expected at this price. You will also be able to order some staple sides such as takoyaki, edamame etc. The atmosphere reminds me of the izakayas that you would find in Shinjuku/Shibuya in Tokyo. Very lively, and some may find it quite noisy. Customer service was very prompt, efficient and accommodating. But, if you are looking for your Tokyo fix then give this place a try. Yes, you can get better ramen but you would have to spend more or go to Japan to a place like Nakiryu.

The worst ramen in Sydney I've ever tried. Ordered Hakata mara ramen and it was not satisfing, just quite plain, the chilly paste made doodle too oily. Also the salad in fried seafood plate is too salty and even sandy. Also ordered the only desert in the restaurant, the fresh strawberry on the top were frozen. Overall I feel like this restaurant is not running by Japanese. I can feel the food I ordered were not prepared using their hearts, not like other Japanese restaurants. Give it a 2 start for courtesy, should give it an 1.

First time here, the bun was nice and so was the 2 ramens. Good alternative to ippudo (which is across the road and more expensive)
