The team at Hunter Discount Specs Cessnock store are fantastic! From the word go, when I phoned and asked a few questions, I spoke to Sally (who is delightful). Then I went in for my appointment and saw Nell, who was also wonderful. Stephen the optometrist, listened and understood my needs. The whole process was excellent, the staff are caring, friendly and helpful. I have not had much luck going to other opticians, they just can’t get my prescription right. But I think my luck has finally changed. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else. If you want the best, forget the rest and go to Hunter Discount Specs, you won’t be disappointed! You will get fantastic, friendly service, glasses at a very affordable price and they only take half the time to be made up, compared to some other providers.

I noticed a previous customer only gave 1 star, and commented he had to wait too long. The owner responded by apologising for having to make the customer wait for a whole 6 minutes! Wow! I'd be very happy if I ever only had to wait no more than 6 minutes for a service such as a doctor, dentist, etc.! I wonder how that man would respond if he was rushed out of his appointment and told he couldn't ask any questions, because the next customer couldn't be kept waiting! He should save his criticism for something that's worthwhile criticising. I'm sure he'll find plenty of issues that genuinely deserve it!!! I have been a customer of this practice for about 8 years now, and have always had extremely attentive, thorough service - and I've never had to wait for an excessive amount of time. Perhaps a bit longer than 6 minutes, but surely, when you have to be tested for potentially serious eye diseases (and not just the regular glasses update) you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes, if it means you will also receive the attention needed for an accurate consultation and diagnosis. xcareful potential
