Fantastic cooking classes! The team at Barilla Australia are very passionate and knowledgeable about Italian food. Barilla are also fantastic hosts, classes are stuctured to ensure participants are well fed and have an enjoyable cooking experience. The recipes are impressive and showcase what can be made in your own kitchen with Barilla products and quality Italian ingredients. One of the best value food experiences in Sydney!

If you are looking for fun, deliciousness & education then look no further then the cooking classes at Casa Barilla! There are 2 types - hands on (100) or Masterclass (65). I was fortunate to participate in the Masterclass ran by 2 of my favourite Italian chefs in Sydney - Alessandro Pavoni & Giovanni Pilu. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the friendly & professional staff at Barilla, met with an aperitivo & antipasto platter whilst you settle in & meet other participants. Its not a huge class & this means interaction with the chefs whilst they cook (to chat, ask questions) as well as socialise with fellow participants. The classes are structured well and runs smoothly. The recipes are easy to follow and the chefs walk through each step, with humour also which made the class even more fun. It was impressive to watch the chefs in the kitchen & was a fun way to learn. The food that has been made is served & each course was delicious! Kingfish crudo - filleted & sliced there & then by Alessandro Pavoni, casarecce with clams & bottarga - full of umami & smelled of the sea. Following that there was the classic spaghetti Ametriciana which was so comforting. Then the bomb right at the end... the best Italian balls! Espresso zeppole with mascarpone. Omg this was out of this world and the chefs made it look so easy! I will definitely be trying this recipe at home first! The staff at Barilla were all very attentive, serving food and pouring delicious wine throughout the evening and a goodie bag to go home with. Highly recommend the classes here for learning & fun! Would also be a great place for team bonding & building sessions or hen's or birthday parties!

I had a great time with my last cooking class there. We made two pasta's there and learned a few tricks. Perfect for an Amateur wanting to ensure that they can cook pasta reasonably well. Not good for people wanting to make Pasta from scratch. The best bit was the Chef was humble, Pasta is meant to be a cheaper food and they were lamenting the 20 dollar pasta dishes out there.

Very Disappointed With the Barilla Products & customer care. Waisted 8 packets of pasta (in the Bin) and not one response from the Barilla customer care email or website, very disappointed. A few other people have experienced the same problem over the past week. See Barilla facebook page, food blogs next. regrettable the product & brand are this poor, was our favorite pasta.

I was invited for a cooking class with a 1 over a weekend and it was fantastic. We cooked potato lasagne and salmon dill tartlets which we shared over a glass of white wine. The head chef, Luca Ciano is fabulous and explains every step of the way not only how to do something but why we do it. The class I took was hands-on but they also do demos. You get to experience some great quality products, atmosphere, and chefs. Highly recommended!
