I surprised my boyfriend with a fishing charter on port Phillip bay early this year. This company was catching my eye because of all those good reviews. I booked a trip and the lady in the office was super friendly and helpful. She even advised me to book a morning charter because that was our best chance to catch some snappers. We enjoyed our time on the boot with Mark. He is a funny and helpful skipper and he tried his best to get us a good chance of catching fish. He even put so much effort into it that we stopped at several fishing spots. I highly recommend booking with this fishing charter. Very professional and very helpful. I booked after my boyfriends surprise another time with the Reel Thing Fishing Charter. Thank you guys for the great time :)! Josi

We had the 10am charter New Years Day 2021 & it was the best way to start the year! Mark & Brando are legends for giving up their NYs day and they gave us a great first time charter experience .They just went above & beyond to get us a good feed, moving to different markers as needed .(Snapper ,flathead & rock cod were the flavour for us) Easy vibes for booking it right to the end of the charter! We highly recommend and will definitely be booking more charters with them in the future. (Minus the bananas Lol) Thanks guys

u003cI have a gut feeling that the owner was lying\u003e Please read my story and you will be the judge. I called and inquired the booking, was told to book the following weekend as there were no boat going out due to the strong wind which I fully understand. So I booked on the following Saturday 10am session. Owner called and said due to system issue the 10am session was actually booked out as there will be a private boat going out. So owner advised me to book the next session which is the next day 5am session on Sunday and told me to wait for their confirmation. I waited and didn't get a call until 6pm on Saturday so I called, owner told me that the Sunday 5am session has been cancelled due to the strong wind. I am not an expert on reading Wind Report but help me to understand here. Saturday had raining all day and you had private boat out, the next day weather forecast says sunny and all boats have been cancelled? I asked for a re-fund and thank you for accepting that.

Can Not recommend at all. Husband and wife are both extremely unprofessional to deal with, kept cancelling without notifying me and refused to refund my 150. Zero customer service. Had a much better experience with StKilda charters, spend your money with them instead!

My kids and i took the charter out yesterday, the day was amazing! Mark and Sean!! Great team! Very professional, and wow! do they know their stuff! We went even knowing we had no guarantees, but Mark kept going to different spots until we all hooked up! Great service, great vibe on the boat! even though we had no experience they had our back! Great going Mark and Sean! ( Oh!! and BTW, do not bring bananas on board!!! :-) )

Extremely rude treatment of customers, yelling over the phone and blatant lying. Cancelling trips multiple times and taking money for a service not provided. When investigating this company we were also being told by a member of the public that they haven't been operating for a few weeks now. Seems like they are operating nothing but a scam to take money from unsuspecting tourists. Do not throw your money away by booking through them!!

What an amazing morning with Reelthingfishing . This is our second time going fishing with Mark. He is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Everything went so well, beautiful weather. Great catch, 4-5 kilos snappers. Thank you, Mark. We will come back again.
