Although most of the staff were nice and helpful, out of sheer boredom and drama, this place did not work for me. After being told they have a bed straight away, my family booked the place out of desperation and I feel really guilty that I did not do better research. For the first 2/3 weeks of being at the rehab we did nothing besides sit around, stare at the walls, and go to an NA meeting a couple of times a week. There was a new excuse everyday as to why the activity planned for that day would not go ahead. Instead, we would either just sit on the couch reading, or do errands such as grocery shopping. Confidentially was broken within 5 minutes of me arriving, as he shared some private information on one of the other people attending the rehab. My family shared with him some private and embarrassing health concerns before I arrived, and as I was meeting everyone, he decided to talk to me about it. I heard many reports of confidentiality being broken during my stay. Also, the same particular staff member tried to add my family on FB during my stay. Nearing the end of my 1 month stay, they tried to convince me I needed to stay 3 months. Everyone was recommended it. I guess it is a business before anything else, but for such a huge cost, I thought there would be a lot more.

Bayside was sold to me as a person centered holistic approach, when I asked if the holistic approach meant whole body health?, 'Yes'. I emphasized that I was a dual diagnosis client, and that my mental health is a major area that also needs to be addressed, I was reassured that all areas of concern will be addressed. Bayside ticked all my boxes and all my Christmas' had come at once the moment that I found out that I had a bed the next day. Regular contact was made prior to arrival, I entered "the Summit" to a warm, welcoming, safe environment. Detox was monitored by the GP and staff and I could never have imagined detox being such a breeze, the staff worked on my detox according to my needs with tender care and understanding allowing a smooth introduction to Recovery. Bayside endorses and follows the Narcotics Anonymous traditions and fellowship and guided me to my first meeting. I finally felt that I was not alone, that I belonged. During day program at the day premises we do many things such as as the NA 12 Step Program work guided by the AOD qualified staff. We would have fun days at the pool, yoga and Pilates. Outings over the weekends, cafe, massages, hair dressers, shopping, the beach, picnics etc. Bayside tended to my needs in regards to the holistic approach to the best of their abilities, considering that at the time they were massively under staffed. The staff on shift went above and beyond at times to meet my extensive health care needs. My recovery has been a blessed dream come true with many thanks to "The Bayside Bunch", staff, NA and the NA fellowship and my new brothers from another mother.
Bayside Private Care has helped me in many different ways with my addiction and mental health issues. I am now a new person, visiting day program once per week and highly recommend the facility. The residence is not fully up to date, but that is not what matters. The workers there are beautiful.
I know Bayside Private Care is under new management, as I am the new manager. Since coming on board I spend my days improving client outcome and the business model. The new management team is quickly fixing any problems that existed under the old management. We will see Bayside Private Care realise its great potential.
The staff here are amazing and aregenuine life savers. So happy to have my family back. Thank you Bayside
I was at rehab in Bayside Private Clinic for 3 months. I am now six months clean. They introduced me to the 12 Step Program by taking me to Narcotics Anonymous Meetings. We also had time in our daily programme to do Step Questions, an essential part of the program. I also had 1-1 counselling with a qualified counselor weekly. This is essential to rehabilitation. We did other programme work to encourage routine, self-reflection and an understanding of addiction. One of the things I really liked about Bayside Private Clinic was the attentive staff. The staff do a great job of 'personalising' the experience, giving time to each client on an as needs basis. We were also taken to medical practitioners regularly to work in a wholistic way on getting well. As I suffer various mental health issues these were addressed by the doctors and considered at all times in my care. I think that with any rehab the client has to put in the work to achieve results. Bayside staff will support greatly when you do the work! I particularly like the residential premises where clients relax and live; It is in a natural setting which in itself is healing. This makes the experience less clinical. We also did yoga regularly and swimming. Clients are encouraged to work together as a team in the house, encouraging responsibility. Rehabs vary - some are larger, more clinical and less personal. This would not have suited me as well. I am grateful to Bayside for giving the right environment to start my healing, most of all due to the staff who will go above and beyond to provide support.
Where do I even begin to start! Bayside has truly saved my life and I have completely turned my life around after my 6 week stay at Bayside. I went in there an extremely shy, introverted, reclusive nervous wreck and I left there a totally different person! I am now actually living my life, not just simply exisiting. I have made some amazing life long friends who I treasure with all of my heart. I have gained a confidence I never thought was possible for me. The carers are absolutely incredible. I have so much love and respect for them all. Special mention; Helen, beautiful Helen! She was there for me from the moment I walked in to the Ranch. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out and she has been my rock from day one. I can truly say I love her like a sister. She is one of the strongest women I have ever met and such a huge inspiration! I could go on for hours about all of the staff at Bayside but there is simply is not enough words to express my gratitude. Thank you Kris, Sam and all the carers! I will be eternally grateful for the massive impact you all had on my life \u003c3
BE WARNED this is far from a well run rehab centre, everything you are promised is a lie the staff are underpaid (when they're paid) and the patients are left with nothing but a run down so called luxury rehab. Kris and Sam you should be ashamed of yourselves for taking peoples money and promising families a chance for their loved ones to get better, you allow drugs in the house so patients relapse and you can push the families for more money. And now they will tell you they are under new management this is a lie
