Its sad and disappointing cruise companies do not cater for SINGLE people. Its absolutely unfair that if you decide to go on a cruise and your SINGLE you have to pay TWICE. Carnival wont be receiving my booking any time soon. No Star Rating!!!
Have sailed on the Carnival Spirit Five times. The crew are some of the most cheerful people I have meet. My only request is to refurb the Splendor and have it join the spirit sailing year round from Sydney.
Disappointed!!! Returned from a recent 12 day cruise on the Carnival Legend. Room Steward staff Stole my husbands wedding ring on the last evening when we were all out for dinner ! I'm not one to complain but this sort of stealing along with my mothers necklace of which she was given on her 60th birthday stolen. Carnival you need to PAY your staff more money so this sort of thing doesn't happen!!! How many cruises do we go on and we have personal belongings stolen? The thing is we pay money to cruise with Carnival & when you report items being stolen nothing gets done by security!! On another note cleaning of our cabin PATHETIC!! Toilet never cleaned properly once, I can say this as there was pubic hair on the outside of the bowl since we got there. The floor was filthy & bugs in the corner that is how I knew it was not cleaned. Sad I had to take it up with the head of housekeeping who was so polite & had the job corrected. The very next day it was back to doing the same thing of not cleaning. Now we know that we can select our Steward if your not happy we will make sure we request only one whom we have felt with the past and went above & beyond to make our cruise special. We did use the safe but was all packed on the last evening & placed the ring in the bag ready to go! The point is if staff were paid correctly stealing wouldn't happen. We do plan on cruising again but just want Carnival to take action & step up to paying staff correctly.
Did the cruise to PNG late October 2018 on Pacific Jewel. 14 hours Late leaving Brisbane, so Rabaul was taken off the itinerary (this was supposed to be the highlight of the cruise) Captain then decided not to go to Kivita due to anchoring problem. This was 2 ports now removed from cruise. What was left to visit was hardly worth the effort . At this point they should have stopped the ship so unhappy passengers could get off. Service in the restaurant was warm meals & long waits. Upstairs breakfast in the "Pantry" was a disaster. No working fridge in our room & no replacement on board. You couldn't even get a dry biscuit for afternoon tea after 2.30pm. Every time an announcement was made on the ships intercom it started with an apology over something else gone wrong. No offer of any form of compensation. P&O are off my xmas list. Never again would I waste my money with this company. When emailed, carnival came up with the excuse of SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS & MEDICAL EVACUATIONS. What a load of hogwash. You could have done the cruise in a 14 foot tinnie. and there were no medical evacuations until ONE FULL DAY after 2nd port was cancelled. They refuse to answer phone calls, so you are left in the lurch. BE WARY OF P&O. You could end up anywhere with no redress. They will not talk to you.

Hope the quality of food and facility and entertainments and staffs can be upgraded soon .
Absolutley loved our time aboard the Carnival SPIRIT as we boarded at Sydney, headed to Hobart, Pt Arthur and back to sydney.
