I have a very deep affection for this place, it is way more than a bookshop. In 2020 it has been one of the very important pieces of the puzzle of a life in lockdown. So much gratitude for the expertise, generosity and community provided by this little shop.
This bookshop is a wonderland of pictures and words. I am captivated every time I go. I love that they get behind local and Australian authors, celebrate all the things that make each of us unique and provide resources for all the feelings that any child may be having for any period in their childhood. They have fun stuff for those rainy days and things to keep the kiddies brains active when they crave more stimulation. Leesa and the team are super helpful and knowledgeable and my kids have thrived during Covid thanks to their prompt delivery system. It is The Best Bookroom.
I love The Little Bookroom! Their selection of childrens books is not only huge, but also really diverse and you'd be hard-pressed to not find a childhood favourite or a new delight on the shelves. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and have an authentic love for kids books and alwsys have a few great recommendations up their sleeves. They also run short-times, always have a great Halloween Eve event for kids and lots of fun workshops for different age groups. A brilliant community bookshop.
