Melbourne Museum is located in the picturesque Carlton Gardens next to Royal Exhibition building. You can easily spend few hours to even a day if you love museums. There is lots to see and do at the Museum including Melbourne’s history and how the city developed into sprawling Metropolis post the gold rush in 1850’s onwards. Also check out the Aboriginal cultural centre for the learning about the traditional owners of the land. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Melbourne city.

A must-see museum! Lots of interactive activities that people (including adults, not just children) can learn about different topics. My favorite is the section about brain illusions! A good way to enjoy the weekend by learning new ideas and culture of Australia.
This place something for everyone. Perfect place for Day Out. Toddler Friendly, Cafe, Parking, Plenty of open space to relax. Check official website for current pricing and timing.
This are is a must visit in the Magnificent Melbourne city. Lot of antiques to choose from, there are all kind of eye-catching objects for all walks of life and different taste of people. The scenarios are really really eye catching, peaceful, heart touching, lovely and so much enjoyable. One should definitely visit there if they are in the Melbourne city. Children can play around, plenty room for running and play around, The food lovers have lots of choices near by. So highly recommend.
This museum is perhaps no better than many free museums around the world, however it does have something for everyone, and it incorporated some interesting and up to date research findings within its' exhibits. Very well air conditioned - make sure you take a jumper inside if it's a hot day outside! Big varied museum shop.
Ever informative and always learn something new during each visit. The children's play area was heaven for my son, will definitely do that again. Recommend a membership, we've been twice and have only had the membership for a month.
Pretty standard from what you'd expect from a museum, the nature part was very nice. Lots of interactive things if you had kids, building is very nice and modern. Layout is odd with no real flow but I'm still glad I went to see and experience a bit of history
My family and I are huge buffs of the Melbourne Museum and we visit there anytime we get to Melbourne. Our kids love it and the food and pricing is quite good. You also have plenty of places to sit down and rest up as you go about your learnings. Great spot and love their work!
