great gym :) most gym reviews you see will be only the people with bad experiences. Myself i haven’t had a single problem. The staff are always bright and enthusiastic. Matt was especially helpful and accommodating as he a super friendly and intelligent individual that knows what he’s doing, Overall, a sick bloke and great to chat with. Couldn’t recommend Matt enough if you need assistance from Fitness First staff. Dominic is also a very good-natured staff member that is very approachable and knowledgeable. Not many complications with the air conditioning as i am mainly in the cardio section and don’t feel the heat that much. An upgraded cardio section would be great as it is quite bland but the amount and quality of machines are excellent!!

Well maintained, nice large open space and good range of equipment. One of the better passport gyms in Sydney.

This Gym getting worse day by day and the manager only thinks to getting new members nothing else. Most of the Machines are broken or not working good. The cold water machine produces hot water, funny things is the manager loves to play cricket, and all the televisions broadcast this ridiculous sport 24 hours a day, when you complain to this situation you will be faced with an answer, if you are not satisfied or not happy you can go to other gyms.

Classes are good, and big enough space for the gym but Staff are incredibly rude. Front desk girls are really not professional. Every other Fitness First I have been to the girls at the front desk are so lovely and accommodating, they will go out of their way for you, but not at Carlingford, when you ask a simple question you get an attitude filled response and a big sigh like you are wasting their time. Less time I spend there, the better!

DOMINIC-He is an unique staff. I have a very great information to share about fitness first in Carlingford. When I joined this fitness first few years ago, there were two to three different memberships. There was a great staff at the reception. He was an amazing person as he went that EXTRA MILE to help me to join this Centre. That time the membership that I joined I had to achieve a certain percentage within the three months time to be benifited out of that membership. He was so great. He encouraged, motivated me to achieve the target percentage and to be benifited from the membership. I do value this to the utmost. I am totally grateful for this staff as I was managed to join the gym comfortably. He has helped us and guided us too.Even my daughter. Fitness first is so fortunate to have a great staff like DOMINIC.He is an asset for the company. I thought I got to share this with the community. Apart from that it’s all about the Zumba class I went for this Zumba class which was done by AMY and all what I could say was her Movements, style , the steps and the song choice was EPIC. I enjoyed every micro second of that class yesterday.

Had an issue with payments so they cancelled all my classes. The payment issue was due to inconsistencies with what was communicated to me about the dates that payments were taken. I tried to contact them to rectify and no one bothered to get back to me. Really poor service and practise. They're happy to take my money but not to offer service in response.

Recently a bit better but used to be very crowded and you had to wait long for machines and equipments get free.
