Fitness first is going downhill fast. classes offered are shrinking and time table is getting bare by the day, opening hours is reduced and it is changing to a highly over priced iron gym with a excessively chlorinated pool. but once you sign up, you will be slapped in the face with below contract terms "We reserve the right to change or add to these membership terms and conditions or the club code. If by making such changes you are adversely affected you may terminate this agreement. For the avoidance of doubt however, changes to club timetables, facilities and hours of operation does not constitute a change of this membership agreement for the purposes of this clause." I can not see why you would lock up on a contract with a company that is going down soon and still wanting your money.

Staff are very unhelpful and rude. gym is very overpriced for what they offer. you have to pay extra on top of your membership fee to use the gym 24/7. Tried to get through to management to cancel a membership and after 3 days they finally answered but were not helpful and very rude. would not recommend this gym at all.

Signup and cancellation were accurate and efficient, unlike when I joined a different location a few years ago. Unfortunately the club suffers from a lack of maintenance and attention to detail. During a worldwide pandemic, you'd think the sanitary wipe dispensers would be filled regularly but half of them remained empty for days on end. Soap in the showers empty most days, and the odd fruit fly infestation. Steam room was working only 1 in 10 visits. The pins for the weights on the machines were often broken making them unusable. The TV'S connected to the treadmills/elipticals don't work, and the main screens at the front have now had the foxtel disconnected. Overall it's a good gym option, with ample areas, weights and cardio to get by, and a decent wet area. With free classes too, I don't know anyone would pay twice the price for F45.

I have found both Fitness First at Wynnum and Carindale to beyond reproach. Sooooo professional, equipment up-to-date, all amenities cleaned continuously and other gymies friendly. This I think is probably due to the really positive and friendly staff.

I’m writing this review in regards to the Reception team. The way they treat there members is appalling, no support, no concern or compassion. I’m disgusted in the way me and my partner have been treated this morning, trying to sort out my partners membership because of a medical condition.

The whole Swimming pool is closed randomly because of kids class. I don’t know what is the point joining the membership. U get kicked out when u hard way swimming. Staff are so rude. Worst club in Brisbane .
