Wow, love that I actually found it. And the cocktail I had, jalapeno one, was amazing. Great selection and well versed bar attendants. I will definitely be back for more. I love the jazz playing, but would have loved some more food options. For a 10.30 jazz band, don't need as much as food, but at 8pm, would like more options. Only reason not a 5 star.
The staff there is very rude. Hi Molly owner, thanks for your response which means you do care about your bar standards. I am not sure how to reply on your response. So I will reply here if you don’t mind. We went to Molly bar at 10ish last night. It was 3 table of people were waiting and we were the second one. Out of sudden one of your Asian background staff came to us, “you guys back off, I need to close our door. You can wait outside if you want.” The attitude was very rude and three tables of us were standing there and we didn’t make any noises. Maybe he wasn’t in the mood but this service wasn’t acceptable. Great little speakeasy bar in Canberra. Huge whisky list and lovely old fashioneds. There was live music when we stopped in, and they offer memberships to regulars.
We booked the Whisky New Years Eve Dinner. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The atmosphere was exceptional with whisky and cocktails flowing, which quickly got us in the mood to welcome in the New Year! The beef was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life... complements to the chef! The apple tart again the best I’ve ever tasted! We will be many, many more times in the future! Thank you to all your wonderful chef's and staff for an exceptional New Years Eve Dinner... a resounding success!
Easily the best place in Canberra to enjoy some foreign spirits (especially whiskey) warm and nice and cosy and lovely in every way possible.
This is the greatest jazz venue in all of Canberra, hands down. Great staff and service, great selection of drinks and food, the manager is an absolute legend of a man who runs his business like a well-oiled machine, and great crowd control too so the pleasant atmosphere is assured no matter what day or time of day it is. Amazing live music performances all throughout the week, some of the best that Canberra has to offer. There simply isn't a better venue.
Molly hosted an excellent evening for me and a group of friends. Zac was very knowledgeable about everything whiskey during the tasting!!! Thanks team
