We are Canberra's first café to introduce outdoor dining, back in the 70s, and has played a major role in the cultural development of the city. Located in the heart of the CBD and bustling with activity, Gus' Place is an all day dining venue specialising in modern Australian cuisine. The famous outdoor dining area boasts large glass windows which allow sunlight to flow into the space, making it the perfect place to catch up for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Gus' place is great. They have so many vegetarian options, the food is tasty, and the price is fair. We usually order uber eats from here, but the other day we decided to go and eat in. It was about a 20 minute wait to be seated, so prepare for a bit of a wait on busy mornings, but it's worth it in the end.

I really enjoyed the French toast! I will definitely have it again. The big brekkie was big portion like the name but taste is just okay, nothing special. Food was taking extra longer as the shop was really busy. But staffs were taking good care of the service.

First time at Gus's Place. Visit Canberra often with work. Wife and I decided to try the breakfast. Simply outstanding. Got there before the morning rush. Meal size was perfect. Big breakfast was big, tasty and cooked perfectly. Could not have been happier. Will definitely be visiting again.

Food ok but so so slow, both food and especially just warm. They seem more attentive to take a way rather than seated customer's. A big NO NO from me.

You never go wrong going to Gus' (and I've been going there, on and off, for over 20 years). Great food, fast, friendly service, and reasonable prices. A real menu with real food, not weird confected breakfast choices that aren't really breakfast. Strongly recommended for breakfast/brunch!

Good food , helpful staff, and the outside covered area is well heated, so very comfortable.
