After being told to attend the ED by the COVID hotline due to my post vaccine reactions, I got told by the triage nurse that she'd never heard of the symptoms I was experiencing. After waiting for 2 hours I decided to leave. If it was an emergency I'd be seen sooner however the clerk couldn't quite grasp that concept.

i wish i could give rating in negative. have been in emergency Department for last 3 hours now. i do not understand why they call it emergency department when everything is slower than a sloth. My wife is vomiting and shivering finally our turn Came, now it has been 2 hours she is sleeping with no doctor or nurse attending her. receptio is closed and dont know where to go. staff are walking like Ghost. they go out from one door enters from anothet in no time. ( Damn they should be in horror movie) please someone come and attend her if you are looking at the comment. I am here in room no 6..

After being advised by a nurse on Health Direct number to go to emergency, I arrived in emergency at Calvary tonight around 6:30pm in a lot of pain and could hardly walk. I had injured my left knee and found it unbearably painful to walk. I was put in a wheel chair, given panadol and nurofen and then left in waiting area for about 3 hours. I was in pain, cold and exhausted and left totally alone. I informed triage about my rare conditions when I arrived, fibromuscular dysplasia, a disease of the arteries, which in me has caused multiple aneurysms, some treated, some not. I informed triage of the untreated aneurysms in my brain, which are at greater risk of rupture when I am upset, under stress etc. I also informed triage of my nutcracker esophagus and all the medications I take, which can cause extreme tiredness. I was not not checked on nor given any information about wait times or anything. It was such an unbearable situation I left. I rang Health Direct again when I got home at 10:30pm and was advised to attend emergency again within 6 hours. However have no confidence in Calvary emergency.

I came here during a mental health crisis where I was suicidal. I went alone and crying and nobody made an attempt to update me or console me, I was left unattended in the waiting room for three hours

What is wrong with this Hospital. My husband has been sitting in waiting room since getting there from work at 4.20pm today with something in his eye. It is now 9.20pm and he has finally just seen doctor who tells him he should of gone to Canberra hospital because they have the eye specialist. Who are the staff at front desk?. Are they really that incompetent. I have been watching apt showing waiting time in emergency department and it is showing between 90 minutes to 120 minute wait so why has my husband sat there 5 hours? At close to 4 hours my husband went and said he had been there for 4 hours and the reply he got was no you have been there 3 hour 49 minutes. How rude. What was 11 minutes after that length of time. I asked my husband what did you say and he said what was the point she really just did not care. Maybe if she was better trained she could of tried to help and find out what is wrong. I might add when he arrived at the department there were only 7 people in front of him. I know critical cases come first but it was only a 5 minute job to look at my husbands eye. He is still sitting there waiting for medication at 9.32. This departments staff needs to be looked into. I can only hope that if you were critical you would get help or what is the point of going to the hospitals at all.
