RSL, the Returning Services League, is a very good venue on the Esplanade in Cairns. The membership is open to returning service members in the Australian and allied armed services. Our tour group came in as guests of our tour leader. This is a nicely laid out restaurant and bar with a war museum one floor upstairs. The food was unpretentious, fresh and very well prepared. The service was prompt for most of our group except for the lady who ordered fish and chips. She had to wait a very long time. I had Greek salad with optional calimari. It was excellent. There's only street parking nearby. I recommend this place.
