Identifying this demographic, C Care opened its doors in 2009 with the mission of caring for their essential needs, including first and foremost food security, ensuring their wellbeing and including them in the wider Melbourne community. It currently coordinates a network of 1000 volunteers who visit over 240 households each week, providing meals and home supplies, offering emotional support and providing access to essential services.
