Such a great place to visit in Byron. Great atmosphere and wonderful service! Very popular and busy so it’s best to book. Very reasonable prices and corkage is only 2.50! (The meal below only cost us 62.)

I don't know how we found this place as it's quite descrete and after making couple of circles around Byron Bay looking for a place to eat we kind of gave up and picked the closest to where we stopped... It was Cyprus tree and it was such a great choice! I wanted to try something different so I had a baby goat and didn't that taste like food from heaven? Absolutely loved it and will visit it again when come back to Byron, don't need to look for anything else! Next time will try the seafood plate as other people had it and it looked and smelled spectacular.
What a great restaurant! Small and intimate, with a great Mediterranean atmosphere. Staff are warm and welcoming. Limited in house alcoholic beverages are well complimented with a very local BYO from the bottle shop across the road. We had the prawns and scallops entree, not too bad... However, the real gems are the sides of octopus (top 10 in this reviewers palette!) and the calamari. Side portions are super generous and delicious. Will come again!

Amazing food, definitely must try the seafood! Portion and pricing was on point, one of the best octopus you’ll ever have. Must book in advance or risk waiting a while (but it’s worth the wait).

Have been visiting The Cyprus Tree for about 10 years, basically every time we visit Byron. This is my #1 choice for dining out in Byron, and tonight didn’t disappoint. The booking experience (thanks Dani) was excellent and very accommodating, the service was faultless and the food very tasty. We had the trio of dips with pita bread which is consistently awesome, and my go to dish is the goat, which I love as it comes in a savoury tomato base with vegetables with the goat falling off the bone and very tender. Love that the Cyprus tree has always allowed BYO, although noticed today they are now licensed so would consider buying direct from the restaurant next time given the quality of the wine most probably is at the same level as the food.
We booked Cyprus Tree for a Sunday night. The service was really good despite being constantly busy. We ordered the Traditional Mezzare for two. Definitely worth it and couldn’t fault it! The restaurant is quite small and I’d recommend to book. BYO at the moment but also have a drinks menu.
