Had a private lesson with Michael, aka 'Munga'. I got so much more out of this lesson than any of the several group lessons I had at other surf schools. What Munga does differently, is that he focuses more on what is inside your head, rather than getting into technical details. He gets you to believe that you CAN surf and that you WILL stand on the board all the way to the beach. We were able to stand up on the board the majority of times we caught waves. I went from only occasionally being able to stand up without any control, to confidently standing and even being able to steer - which I'm pretty excited about xD It was my first private surf lesson, but I can be confident in saying that with Munga it really paid off. Enjoy the surf!
