NEWS UPDATES:
Buddha House began Stage 3 of Covid-19 restrictions last Monday 29th June. This means we can now have more people in the Gompa following the 1 person per 2 square metres ruling.
The Office and Shop areas will still be open from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm on Monday to Friday.
As people enter Buddha House we are still requesting they sign in, gel their hands and maintain 1.5 metres social distancing. The SA Government advises that all communal food and beverage facilities stay closed, so please continue to bring your own water bottle or thermos if you require a hot drink.
We thank you for your cooperation so we can continue to help make SA and Buddha House Covid-19 safe.

The six syllables: om ma ni pad me hum, mean that you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha. The first known description of the mantra appears in the Karandavyuha Sutra (Buddha speaks Mahayana Sublime Treasure King Sutra), which is part of certain Mahayana canons. In this sutra, Shakyamuni Buddha states: This is the most beneficial mantra. Even I made this aspiration to all the million Buddhas and subsequently received this teaching from Buddha Amitabha.
