Great little place the food is fantastic, with a good choice of drinks that are reasonably priced

Name sums up the place; it really is quaint! Apart from being a little crowded, friendly staff and good meals are available. Their Vegan menu is extensive too, and is quite substantial. Drinks could be mixed better (gin and tonic was made as a gin and soda), but that's not the end of the world. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a good feed in Sydney Rd, especially for a vegan crowd

Went to the snug following a strong recommendation from a fellow Brit. Was amazed by the fantastic service as were the rest of the group. We tried the guiness pie, the Irish stew and the chips with curry sauce all of which were delicious. Great service, delicious food and good beers all round. Highly recommend

Was there to watch sports with friends when I was on my working holiday visa and ended up having an excellent time with the bar staff and people I did not know. You feel almost at home there. Would definitely go back there on my next visit!

Great Irish pub food I wish I could get in Brisbane. Friendly staff and even dogs are allowed! I'd try to talk my wife into making Snug a weekly tradition.

A good solid little Irish local, well worth your custom. Proper drinks poured properly. A charming (small) venue, with suitable music played loud enough to hear but quiet enough to chat. And friendly service, with the boss graciously keeping the place open late-ish for some old friends having a reunion after many years apart. If we lived closer, we'd be in here all the time.

The portions were generous, and the quality good, but that was offset by the relatively high prices for lunch. 25 for a pie and mash when you can get a burger and beer for 15 in the same area. They also didn't give us any drink menus, but were immediately asked what we wanted as soon as we sat down. It turned out that the cans of coke were 6 each, which is a bit excessive. If you've never been to Ireland and want to experience something different from a typical Aussie Irish pub, I think the Snug is worth a visit. Apart from curiosity/novelty, unless you want to eat food that's overpriced and not really appropriate for the summer, then there's not much else they can offer.
