Lots of rude staff. They don't like Asian people they talk so loud and doesn't serve well.
Worst customer service ever. The staff lady is way too rude, she think she is the CEO of Centrelink. When she is just a normal employee.
I've always strongly disliked attending Centrelink. However, I've gone to Browns Plains three times after losing my employment to COVID-19 and the second time I got the worker SUE, the first worker brushed me off and told me to keep applying online which I had being attempting for two weeks at random times without success even waking up at random hours through the night to try without success. However, I didn't complain to the worker that pushed me off and went to the computers. After sitting down and trying unsuccessfully SUE came over and helped me close the old account I had and restarted a new account which worked straight away... Two months later my wife's payment for my son was cut off and when I attended Browns Plains I was met by two AMAZING African appearance Security guards. They were so nice and welcoming to me at the door then pointed me to the front. After sitting down for a few seconds SUE called me up. SUE took her time to listen to my case, she investigated my file and foxed up everything without pressuring me or rushing me in any way which I've always had when I've needed gov assistance. It was so nice that she and the security guards had given me such a great experience in a crisis time. If your going there and cant get through ask to speak with SUE and she will break things down so their easy to understand without the gov language that you normally get. Also she will give you attention, time and listen to you to work out the best way that you can receive support and help.
It's never on good times I've had to apply for unemployment benefits. The poor staff put up with sooo many rude people. Have to admire their dedication.
they ask me to go home. if i dont know how to use computer. very bed attitude.
No one seemed to be working more staff braking social distancing , one staff bandaging anther ( young guy )for a small cut but no one has time to attend to the few waiting ? all stand around for a chat no social distancing only people working are the security guards , how may hours do these people actual work ( i mean work work ), more staff than those waiting but still a long wait because staff could't be bothered with serving
Recently retired & new to the Centrelink experience. Today was our 3rd visit within 12 months & the staff members we have dealt with @ Browns Plains Centrelink seem to assume that we know how everything works & the staff members we dealt with today, were quite abrupt . Questions need to be allowed to be asked & then answered if they want people to learn the process for future visits. We were treated as though we were a nuisance, which made the experience of being there quite unpleasant. We made every effort to be pleasant, respectful & to have as much correct information as possible & we always will. It would be nice to have that reciprocated by staff members.
