Difficult to find the actual rehearsal studio and the lady who 'attended' to us was very rude, condescending and obnoxious to us and made us feel unwelcome. All the equipment in the space was cheap and old: - The guitar amp the woman 'generously lended' to me 'for free, because we're nice' (A Vox Ac130 combo amp), wasn't anywhere near loud enough for a proper (loud) band rehearsal. - There was a constant buzzing in the PA system and amps indicating a grounding issue. - The bass amp had a female XLR input???? so we had to get the aformentioned lady AGAIN to borrow one of theirs. Because no-one is going to carry a double-ended female XLR cable to use for an amp? - We were told we couldn't use anything besides vocals through the PA. We had two guitar modelling units that have been fine at every other rehearsal space. A lot of modern bands are adopting this method for amplification. Get with the times.
