What a wonderful community and nurturing environment! We have been going to this school for the last four years now and we love it. Apart from learning the language, there are many cultural events throughout the year. My kids have made good friends and look forward to every weekend. The teachers are wonderful and very approachable. I would definitely recommend this school to friends. Cheers.

Great teachers, great atmosphere, I've enjoyed my time studying here so much so that I'm in my fifth year and still as enthusiastic as ever! Oh, and my German skills are coming along nicely too :-) I'd wholeheartedly reccomend taking up a language to anybody and if it's german you're looking for then look no further.

Viola is a fantastic teacher. She is extremely helpful, approachable and fun.
This is a wonderful German language school, we are so happy here. The teachers are all native German speakers, they are very approachable and so dedicated to making the language easy to learn. The classes are relaxed and fun, the other students are open-minded and easy-going. And the smaller class size means you get more chance to practice your German, and more access to the wonderful teachers. I love that I can attend my Adult classes while my son attends his Youth class. What a great bonding experience for us, we both look forward to our Saturday morning outing. We love it so much, we drive an hour each way to attend – distance is irrelevant when you find a school this good. The school has a really nice community / big-family feel to it. During the break on Saturday mornings, all the kids are outside in the courtyard running around or playing ball, and the parents and teachers are chatting in the shade of the trees. Events are held throughout the year, too – Laternenfest, Oktoberfest, picnics, Weisswurstfruehstueck, Easter celebrations, Fasching celebrations and of course the Weihnachts party. It’s more than just a language school, it’s a German culture school too. Highly recommended to anyone looking to learn the German language and join a fantastic community.
I'm married to a German and have been self studying for some time without making noticeable progress. The complexities of German grammar made taking the collection of words I knew and forming them into sentences that would make sense to a German speaker a challenge. The first term at BGLS has helped greatly to demystify this and has already accelerated my understanding. The classes are held on a Tuesday night at the German Club in Wooloongabba. Parking is easy and being in a German Club adds to the atmosphere. Our teacher Viola has a good approach and makes the lessons fun. Instruction is clear and well paced with plenty of time for questions and follow up. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning German. Das Lernen hat Spaß gemacht!
