The 2019 event was horrendous in every conceivable way. The event manager greedily overbooked this awful, awful festival. A few days before they kept advertising more and more VIP tickets saying they were able to open up more space. Huge mistake as there were way too many people here with hour long waits for every single gin tasting or food vendor. The food then ran out after 4 hours. It was absolutely pathetic. All staff the were awful and the 2 drinks I actually managed to get were incorrect both times. The cash bar was in fact not cash so I enjoyed a 45 minute wait to get turned away. There was one toilet on site at an event centred around alcohol. The only fun part was watching the Facebook reviews plummet in real time as angry patrons left the venue en masse. After confronting staff myself and others got a refund for our 94 VIP ticket. The event manager was tearful and clearly upset but I had to demand an apology that wasn't "I'm sorry you feel that way". Take this event as a financial loss and refund every single person that wasn't satisfied if you ever want to hold an event in Brisbane again.

What a horribly run event. Very overcrowded, 45 minute wait for tiny tastings. Gin stall ran out of gin 4 hours into the event and food sold out. Waste of money and will not be attending again.

An hour to get in followed by a 45 minute wait for the first drink. Barely room to breath. Over 3000 people in an event catered for less than 1000. Even the cue to complain was long. Should be reported to the ACCC and the Brisbane City Council should never do anything with this organizer again.

Poorly organised, rude greedy events Manager, bar staff did not know what they were doing. We basically paid to sit in Newstead Park, lines too long for tasting. Food very scarce, no water, toilets not working properly. Get your act together before charging people to attend what is supposed to be an organised and well catered for event. I thought with RSA that food and water when serving alcohol was mandatory. Sorry I gave up my time to attend this amateur event. The organiser would have had an idea of how many were attending due to ticket sales- NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Worst event I've been to this year. Here's what was promised and what was actually delivered by the event organiser. COCKTAILS - we managed to line up 3 times in 5 hours. One of these was for the 10 G&T which was the actual free cocktail that came with our 200 worth of entry tickets. TASTINGS - We got 2 - between us we have 16 unused tickets. We couldn't get near the distributors and the lines were ridiculous. INTERACTIVE STALLS - BS, this was only for the 3 people who managed to be at the front of the line, no one else saw a thing. These weren't huge marques, they were small tents with about 2.5m across the front. FOOD TRUCKS - some ran out of food by 4pm. The rest were swamped. We ordered 2 pizzas which toom 45 mins to cook. BAR STATIONS - 30 mins in the line, 2 staff servicing a couple of hundred people in the marque area. No excuse for this, if you're taking people's money for an upgraded experience, you actually have to upgrade thier experience, not just cash grab. And the list goes on. We left feeling completely ripped off and let down. Reading all the reviews that last year was the same is even more disappointing. Best thing we can all do is repost these comments next year when they start to advertise again as they are obviously not interested in providing value for money.

Very poorly organized, left after 2 hours to have my gin elsewhere. Event management not existing. I should've asked for a refund.
