This is my all time favourite golf course. Simply stunning views with difficult greens and tee off shots (from redblack tees) but anyone can play here. They also offer less difficult tee options. The white tees are a very good option if you're not confident off the tee. Similar to Lost Farms Barnbougle has stunning views of the bay and each hole has it's own unique identity this makes it for a very enjoyable experience. Can't wait to return. Tip: don't take on the bunker on the 4th hole

Had the pleasure playing at this amazing golf course - played both Lost Farm and the Dunes. Absolutely amazing layout, challenging track had some good holes and a few bad ones but overall loved it will be back for more

Awesome place to play golf in the stunning North East of Tassie...challenging course with some very challenging bunkers. Spectacular views of Anderson Bay....highly recommended!

They have an ad in the Australian Golf Course Guide 2021 with 20% of Green Fees at Barnbougle in Big Writing and then a small asterisk with conditions -the 20% off is only for players with a full fee player. It's so dodgy, no other golf course in the entire guide does this. Barnbougle can get away with it because of their reputation, but it does make the whole joint smell like a used car lot because of the shifty marketing. Also the bus trip from Launceston Airport to the Dunes is 560 round trip which feels expensive cause its more than the cost of return airfares from Melbourne and two nights accommodation. The continental breakfast was fantastic for the price though.

Incredible course only a little more than an hour out of Launceston. Super friendly service, big props to Phil who helped us out in the pro shop. Great meal at the restaurant up at Lost Farm. Would definitely recommend a visit here for golfers of all abilities.

Such an amazing golf course. Deceptively short, but challenging. Bring golf balls. The service in the pro shop, bar and restaurant is exemplary and the wine list is outstanding.

Great service and meals. Meals came out in good time. The four of us couldn't fault anything. Worth going to

The mind boggles at the number of 5 star reviews for this place. It's what led to us traveling to Tassie specifically, and why I'm so disappointed now. The golf: 5 stars. Two of the most fun and challenging courses we've played. Really an awesome golfing experience. Sadly, the great golf was let down by absolutely shocking service at both the Dunes and Lost Farm restaurants/reception. Over just 2.5 days, we had a multitude of let-downs which really spoiled the experience for us. It took 2.5 hours and us having to be our own waitrons on the first night just to get a dinner after we stood - ignored by at least 3 waitrons - at the entrance to the restaurant. We also had an extremely rude waitress at the Lost Farms restaurant when we arrived for our reservation the next night, and the same rude waitress the next morning for breakfast/coffees. The cherry on top was us arriving at reception 45 mins before our tee time to get a shuttle to the other course. It took FOUR conversations and 30 mins with the receptionist to realise that the shuttle which was "in transit" was actually just parked outside with nobody manning it. We arrived 1 minute before our tee time, unable to have a putt or warm up. Really disappointed by the pathetic service which ruined what would otherwise have been the perfect golfing getaway.
