It’s a socialist program. They want to know everything about your life. They stork all your income and bank transactions. No privacy at all. They rip you off bad when it comes to property repairs after the lease has ended.

Beautiful and friendly staff that are always willing to help and give assistance when you need it. Housing managers are always lovely to deal with and are always willing to help when you have an inquiry on the phone or when you attend the office. The repairs team are also really quick to get an issue raised with the contractor. Amazing customer service, highly recommend this service to those who need it.

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. This agency has the worst property management I have ever seen. We had 6 property managers in a span of 2 years. No one writes anything down so you have to explain and re-explain anything you ever speak about. Renting through them was absolutely the most anxiety-filled experience I have ever had.

Tenants that break into the front gate continuously, isn't even being taken seriously.. if they do it all the time how safe is it. And why bother having a locked gate in the first place.

I would love to give 6 stars to the lady who was my caseworker at Brookvale who came from Nepal, she was an absolute angel, and helped me in soo many ways when I initially moved into my flat.Unfortunately I have misplaced my lease and other papers from ‘The Housing Department’ so I could refer to her by name. Now it is no longer a government department,and I still need keys for the front and back gate (they were not returned by the previous tenant. Under normal circumstances , I still may have seen no need for them, however,it was suggested that I may have felt safer,with security cameras. I pondered this point for some time ,and late last year had a number of them installed. To my surprise , after reviewing footage, I found a rather large number of people entering my property, several were just from our locals (no harm done there) but there were also people who ended up in my garden sitting at times for a number of hours. I just feel a little uncomfortable, with non neighbours making themselves comfortable, without being invited. My question is this, who do we call to help in this situation? Bridge? Housing?Facs?Womens Housing Company? I apologise for putting this out in the open, but I am utterly lost. Regards

Bridgehousing replaced Department of Housing on the northern beaches mid last year. Their transistion to their now new clients were obligations and identifying individual rights and needs. Individual persons living in social housing could with the support and links from Bridge Housing move forward with common values and social cohesion from living in a common location. From peoples own existing strengths to a belonging of a diverse community. Those who were feeling alone, speaking little english and finding it hard in how to communicate with others, no family, no friends and in need of interaction and a sense of belonging in demographics. Social connectiveness through Projects to enable diversity of other cultures to being shared (values, beliefs, customs). This being the progress from the people working together to improve their community. Common Values and social cohesion being Homelessness, Mental Illness, ageing and age care, diversity, stigma, D.V and DVPO, Imprisonment, Alcohol and Drug, Substance misuse, Disability, Unemployment and Families to non discrimination to privacy, dignity and good health to be included in the community and not segregated, isolated or victimised. This defining Community.

Shame Bridge Housing for deleting negative reviews. It says a lot about the type of organization you are. Secretive and non responsive to tenants concerns. The system has to change so good tenants have a voice. We have had no intercom system for nearly 3 months. We were sent a survey one of the questions asked whether the intercom could be replaced with people visiting phoning and alert you that they were at the security door and then go down and open it for them. A question which would not of been asked if this was a private rental building. Bridge Housing has a habit of treating its clients as second class citizens. A week ago as I leaving for work the ambulance arrived to attend an emergency. They were pressing the button to the relevant unit, I approached them to let them know that the intercom was not working. I had to open the door so they could make their way to the person needing help. What would of happened if I was not there to open that door. Will it take a death, serious injury or out of control fire for them to fix or replace the intercom.

I have been a client of this “service” and I have worked in roles supporting clients of theirs, and I have witnessed and been subjected to the most appalling treatment of society’s most vulnerable people. They market themselves to be a progressive, non-discriminatory, revolutionary service, but in reality it is just another corporation committed to profit, not a service. This company makes 2.5 million profit per year. They have won many tenders they probably shouldn’t have. They have most recently been given most of the public housing on the north shore, and 12 million dollars of public money to house 90 people off the streets, and they have successfully tendered all of this on the above false claims. Don’t expect social workers who actually want to help you. Instead you will get burnt out, bitter, resentful, callous, racist, people. This company is evidently aspiring to be the largest social housing provider in Sydney, which in order to so, like any business, product needs to be cheaper and they need more of it. So, what is happening is the quality of housing is going down and number of housed clients is going up. Copious amounts of poor quality housing rented from the private market, for large volumes of clients. I’m talking 5 people in a small rundown unit. This is how they make their money, this is their model. It is a classic business model. Increase production, reduce price of production, and increase profits. Their clients are just a means to an end. Metro Housing on the other hand, currently has a 4 star rating on google, reflecting the satisfaction of their customers. This demonstrates that you can house vulnerable people without dehumanising them. Bridge Housing will be the orchestrators of their own undoing. The misuse of public money cannot go on unnoticed for too long. What goes up must come down.
