Excellent venue! Came here for a nice Easter morning breakfast and had an awesome time. Food looked incredible and had taste to match. Although it was quite busy, staff were polite and swift to accommodate everyone's needs. In particular, Cam and Charlie were friendly and added to the atmosphere. Couldn't recommend it any higher!

Lovely staff, beautiful (and delicious) food, but despite being some of the earlier customers in this morning to beat the rush, after 35 minutes and seeing later arrivals being served their orders, our waiter came by and asked us to confirm what we’d ordered. On doing so they came back almost immediately with the plates—they were both cold, as in skeletally cold, with no residual warmth. They took them back and re-heated them of course, and offered free drinks, which was appreciated, but what a waste—our dishes must have sat unnoticed for 15–20 minutes before being collected for service. These things happen, but it’s a bit of a mystery in a small restaurant—definitely recommend the food otherwise, but suggest maybe chasing more aggressively if there’s an unreasonable delay.
Very popular cafe - bit of a wait to be seated. Coffee took a while to come. Food was tasty and nicely presented. Good options for healthy and gluten free diets.
Interesting and diverse menu giving great variety to the normal breakfast fare. Friendly staff. Only real issue was that it was so busy that the coffee and food took ages to come out. I guess that speaks to the popularity of the place.
Canberra has become the next Melbourne with trendy cafes and restaurants. First time at Gather and I was disappointed with the food. All plates come out well presented, colourful and pretty, unfortunately the flavours don’t taste good, and after a few spoonfuls you’re think I just wasted my money. Gather cafe serves a menu of healthy food, but the combination of flavours and sauces don’t compliment each other. I was looking forward to a nice pancake with seasonal fruits, but the pancake was dry and bland. The sauce on the side was purple, blueberry maybe? Without the sauce the dish is not editable. The caramelised bananas was nice but you only get half a banana. I do not recommend this dish. The avo toast look fantastic on the plate, but the toast was burnt under. We were lucky to get a table easily, food came out quickly and staff were helpful. But as more people came the cafe started to get busy and they took ages to serve our babyccino for my son. If you are expecting ‘wow’ or ‘amazing’ there isn’t any from the taste side of things only pretty pictures for Instagram. You definitely don’t get what you pay for! Food ️️️ Price ️️ Service ️️️
Disappointing. No other word. Coffee was decent and the menu looks great however that food was under seasoned and description misleading. Kimchi hollandaise had no kimchi taste, miso was not noticeable. Very disappointed.
Diverse and interesting menu, lovely staff, cute styling and comfortable atmosphere.
Food was great but we waited 40mins gor it to come out.
