It was my first time visit today & thoroughly enjoyed it. We did the tour & our guide Carolyn was very passionate & informative on the history of house & the High Society display. We were only going for afternoon tea so tour & info a bonus. A grand house & beautifully restored and all run by volunteers!!

What a lovely treasure hidden in the side streets of Brisbane. We came upon Miegunyah House Museum unexpectedly during the Brisbane Open House in 2019. There is so much historian detail that is preserved within these halo walls that is so beautifully maintained. From the quaint kitchen to the charming laundry room, there is even a children's room tucked in the back with antiquated toys. The thing that amazed me the most was the dedication to Women of Queensland in the back parlour that is filled with incredible relics and history of all the wonderful women in history who were already shaping the world we wish to see today.

The lovely views and cool breeze from the verandah of this delightful museum are wonderful... Bring some friends with you and enjoy a Devonshire Tea along with the ambience and history of Miegunyah (My house!)

This historical house is breathtaking. Its charm oozes out as soon as you see it. Beautifully kept by the volunteers. Our host Gaye was super informative and new alot of the history of the house. She is a true treasure. This museum is a must see on your list if you get the chance. They serve devonshire teas as well on the verandah. So many memories from my childhood.

A really interesting property full of historical items but what really made it a great experience was the knowledge and passion of the ladies showing guests around.

Lovely guided tour. Beautiful artifacts. I would recommend that guides explain some of the firsts of Australian women as documented in one of their rooms. Very interesting history.
