Been wanting to go to the butterfly house for a while now, reviews are mixed so my expectations where uncertain. However, the experience was pretty great, considering you maybe see one butterfly every now and then in your everyday life the house is just something else. You are able to see so many different types of butterflies much more than what is in an urban environment. I was able to ask a bunch of questions and was satisfied with all the responses. I ended up going around the house several times in my visits. If you have even a slight interest in butterflies or nature and you actually take a moment to consider their habitat, host plants, mating, mortality or anything else you will have an enjoyable experience.

Great spot for the family. Visit the butterfly house, wander through the maze, then visit the dinosaurs. the kids will love it. Staff were very friendly. Free entry for First responders, current defence members and Veterans. You can also enjoy a cuppa in the cafe

Well done to the team for modernising the venue and adding the dinosaur exhibition in an attempt to provide more interest to visitors. I found the maze, whilst interesting, was just lacking some detail that could make it more adventurous for children, so much has been done in the car park area, the cafe and dinosaur area that this seemed a little lacklustre (as mentioned there are currently renovations underway. When comparing this particular park (house) to the one in Cairns for the same price I felt as though this is more expensive. The one in Cairns is about 40% larger and the team are more interactive so not sure why this is the same price. Lastly the young woman at the front desk had very little interest in being there, and while she was following the processes the experience had in terms of COVID safe precautions, this is no reason to sound like you have just woken up or want to be somewhere else. We dragged this out into an hour long experience when it could have easily been a 10 minute walk. Well done also to the guy with the dinosaur puppet on his hand in the car park. That job looks dreadfully boring but he did really well to be inviting, informative and engaging.

Saw a few butterflies which got the kids excited but couldn't wait to get out due to hot and moist temperature controlled settings indoor for butterflies. Wish it had a much bigger area and more butterflies and probably innovative ways to enjoy them without feeling a bit trapped.. The maze outside kept the kids enjoyed and the dinosaur show was fun and interactive..

Nice place to bring the family to see the butterflies and a Dinosaur show. All their staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Especially the guy at the counter. The butterflies house is a nice experience for the family and for the kids. It's a good quick stop to see the place for an hour and continue your trip.

What a delightful place, perfect for the young and the young at heart! I didn't venture inside the butterfly house as I was concerned that an insect might fly into my mouth, but the surrounding attractions provided plenty of fun and wonder I spent hours exploring the sprawling, Victorian-inspired maze, before gasping in terror at the hyper-realistic dinosaurs. This place Tyrannosaurus 'Rocks'

The staff are wonderfull and put an effort in to make a magical experience for my 3 year old son. My son loved moving from a dinosaur encounter to a butterfly encounter. He even saw fairies in the garden. They have Lovely little features in the gardens that he points out excitedly at. Every visit surprisingly it keeps getting better with new features. Thanks for a great experience. Recommend to everyone for a magical time.

We felt a bit underwhelmed to see the Butterfly House. We might have visited at the wrong time, but we could only spot 3-4 kinds of butterflies. The tiny room with "Live Bugs" had a couple of missing (or cleverly hiding) exhibits. The Dinosaur walk was short but fun. The students who put together the Dinosaur show were very nice. I guess the best part of the Butterfly House was the Dinosaur walk. Edit: As the business kindly responded below with the reason for not being able to spot different species of butterflies, I've updated the rating. We will hopefully visit Butterfly House some other time to get a better experience. Cheers!
