I was referred to an opthalmologist at the Bondi parctice and after spending over 500 for a first consultation and 135 for a follow up this person no longer sees clients at Vision Eye Institute in Bondi. I was told I could see him in Hurstville or see a different Doctor in Bondi but I would have to pay an initial consultation fee if I chose to see a new Doctor in Bondi. I refused as I was not prepared to pay another initial consultation fee as I was not responsible for the Bondi practice no longer providing the Doctor I was seeing. I then spoke to the practice manager who said he would get back to me which he did not.

I used Dr Versace for a consult for recommendations for laser eye surgery. The medical assistants who do all the scans etc are very professional. Very long wait (over an hour) to see Dr Versace. He provided good technical advice. Promised to send me videos about my options and a quote that night. Had received nothing 2 weeks later. Started calling to remind them. Phone engaged or no one answered the 5 times I tried. Finally got through, no apology, said they were ‘busy’. Emailed through a quote for 1 option, no recommendation or videos. I would not recommend not using the vision eye institute, I don’t think they have the medical practise discipline that I would expect when paying 300 bucks for a consult.

Dr lawless did laser on my husbands's eyes is an amazing doctor very professional and calm, knows what he's doing,after the treatment Dr Lawless came to explain what happened what to expect. The staff are very friendly .Amazing clinic. Anyone wants to do laser eye surgery I recommend vision eye institute@ Bondi.

I've always recieved excellent service here. I've been back a few times to have both eyes checked and rechecked and every time the service has been great. The only downside is how long everything takes, you can easy wait an hour over your appointment time just to be seen. This is when there is only a few people in the clinic. I've never been seen on time, it's usually an hour later then expected.

Dr. Higgins is out of touch. Quite happy to just walk away from a patient mid way through consult. Poor form. Only saving grace is the front desk staff who are far more courteous.

The doctors do not care about being on time - 45 minutes was how long I had to wait until I saw the delicate genius!
