Good for kids
This little gem of a 2-3 hour medium difficulty walk starting on the left at the trail head of Quarry Rd end(first right on Dural St) and meanders down through the valley behind local houses until you meet some very historic steps, recently reconditioned; see some beautiful blue gums, caves and bird life along the way until you meet the picnic park in the valley after about 20 minutes ambling. Stay at the Park for lunch/play and then return back to start. OR you may desire to walk onto the Fishponds through some great gum forests. Google: Blue Gum Walk and Fishpond Walk for more info. You may also take a short walk to 'Ginger Meggs' Park down Valley Road; a park dedicated to the local creator of the comic strip, 'Ginger Meggs'.

Awesome little trail, great for a day out. The walk itself is fairly easy - saw plenty of children and people of all types making their way through the bush. I like that it was fairly close to Hornsby train station, no car needed and plenty of spots to grab food once you’re finished and worked up an appetite! The only downside is that it was fairly busy, so don’t expect a particularly silent or peaceful hike.
Very picturous hike. Moderate difficulty, Well planned guidence posts right throughout, so you can't miss the track.
Very lovely trees. Good for a half day hiking.
A bit more challenging than the usual sydney bushwalk, but rewarded by beautiful scenery and waterfalls. Highly reccomended.
Nice walk on a sunny winter weekend, we could hear the rifle shots from the distance, after all there’s a rifle range in the vicinity. The only thing that might be improved is the signs & direction. Otherwise all is peachy.
Nice bush walk and mountain bike tracks
We were here mountain biking and the kids and the parents enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommended if you want to get your mountain bike on the dirt.
