An unusual, quirky spot, the place is aged and needs a LOT of tlc. Food here did not interest me nor the family (3yrs, 17 yrs and another adult). Top tip, the self guided tour is not worth it if its only the courtyard open as you wont have tower access. :( The boys found the dolls creepy (need better hallway lighting), but the little one loved the train setup and the toy shop.

Unfortunately only the courtyard was open which is very small, and the small museum. It is ok to visit and spend 25-30 minutes with small kids and help the local business with the affordable 8 entry fee. However, don't expect a lot as the ad indicates 'Biggest castle in Australia "

I recently visited the castle during a weekend away in Bli Bli and as friendly as the staff were the state of the castle was pretty confronting. The premise is in serious disrepair and the mini tour just wasn't worth 8 a head. I appreciate the owners wanting to welcome the public and make something in the process but as I walked away I felt embarrassed that this was listed as local tourist attraction.

Not bad for a quick visit if in the area, we spent about 1.5 hours there with kids ages 810. There was a search and U scramble activity which results in a little prize for them at the end. The castle has many steps which can be daunting if one has height issues, but a great way to burn some energy. Doll museum is creepy but interesting . Glad we went. Cost 48 for family of four. We also did the 15min talk in the great Hall which was interesting for adults, maybe less so for kids.

A medieval castle on the Sunshine coast! Well not really, this castle was built between the 70's and 80's but is still a cool place to visit. It's a small museum showcasing the life, weapons, thrones, etc. from the middle centuries. Climb to the highest tower to get a great view of the area around. Excellent customer service with staff who always stay in character. There is also a doll museum connected to the castle. Takes about an hour to 90 mins to go through everything.

What a rip off. Admission update on website updated after we got there and got admission bill. 8 per person may not be a lot of money, but for what they call a mini tour due to castle being in a bad structural condition, but I call a non existing tour this felt like a way over priced entry fee. Then to top it off, we waited over 20mins for 2 coffees. Would understand if it was busy but sadly no. Wouldn't recommend this attraction to anyone.

I had been here as a child and still had some beautiful memories of my experience from over 25 years ago, so I wanted to share this with my children and they definitely were not disappointed. The staff were lovely, helpful & very much in character to the medieval themes. Our boys (aged 6 & 9) had a great time and said they loved it. We did the one hour self guided tour. We all learnt a lot and had a lot of fun & quality family time together. Highly recommend!!
