Called Pete Blackhall for a leaking tap he arrived within an hour and fixed it for no charge I even offered to pay. I would use him again he was fast professional and honest.

Peter Blackhall is a shoddy plumber! He installed an electric hot water system (HWS) at my son’s tenanted property in the Ipswich area. Following day after the installation tenants complained, stating they were still not getting any hot water even after 24 hours of the new HWS installation. Also, told me they noted Peter has installed a mixer valve for the HWS in the wrong direction. Peter had to go there again and correct his mistake. The outcome was, tenants did not have hot water for 2 consecutive days, solely due to Peter’s incompetence. Though it was part of Peter’s job, earlier the tenants volunteered to carry the HWS to the location where it was to be installed, because he was incapable of doing so. About 2 years after the above installation another problem arose. Instead of using copper tubing for plumbing, Peter had used two flexi (flexible) hoses to connect the HWS to the cold-water inlet and the hot water outlet at the house. The 90cm long flexi hose used for the hot water was too long and hung loose wound like an “O” between the connections. Later, due to water hammer the hot water carrying long flexi hose got burst and a large quantity of hot water got wasted. It was a significant loss, both to the tenant and the owner on electricity and water wasted. So, I have my doubts about Peter’s basic knowledge on plumbing and cannot imagine how he can hold a Queensland plumber’s licence.
I sent a text message to Peter one evening to ask for a quote on installing a hot water system. He replied quickly, and came to my home in Goodna to give a quote the next day! Peter took the time to explain the issues with my old hot water system clearly, and also advised the work he will perform and materials he will require for the installation. And got all materials and installed it just a few days later! On the day of installation, he made sure there was minimum disruption to my tenants (that they still had hot water for most of the day) and kept the area clean. This was my first time using Peter's service and I'm happy that he was very easy to talk to and he did an excellent job. His quote also came out to be cheaper than another quote I sought.
Pete does quality work, efficiently. The toilet was leaking, and water couldn't be turned off at the wall, either. Arrived on time. Diagnosed the issues. Travelled to get parts, restored the cistern and tap to good working order. All completed within the hour. Highly recommended.
