Benella Coles store very sad. Not much there stocked we wanted. No bakery, Compared to other Coles stores this one is low priority. Was probably better off going to Woolworth or Auldi
Starting life as an independent ssw store in the 1960s it was bought by coles and converted into a Bilo. A few years ago it was again converted to a coles. Modern for people in the 1960s nothing has really changed and the store is very very small. I'd say it has 1/3rd the range of a typical metro store. It is very popular with people looking for basic foodstuffs however it doesn't stock much in the way of premium. They don't have dinner options like say a coles express in the Melbourne cbd. That been said, they are convient for a quick shop for basic items. They have no self service checkouts which are nice. Checkout staff are always friendly. Surprising though they excel in having a great Easter, halloween and Xmas range compared to the other 2 supermarkets in benalla. I'm sure if they had a modern bigger standard supermarket the experience wouldn't be uninspiring. There is a small car park located on either side of the store and free on street parking at the front door. A small liquorland is on site.

Smelly cramped and dirty... As I walked around the aisles I had a cockroach fall on me. Other customer saw it and just shrugged apparently this is normal
Good selection friendly staff
I was a bit disappointed with this coles, alot of food was close to expiry and i could not get quite a few items that i went there for.
