The cafe is in a stunning location over looking the river. There is a modest collection of art and pictures. The building itself looks pretty cool.

This Review is about Munro and Sargent Cafe. The Art Gallery is wonderful. Disappointing. Ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and a Pineapple Juice. Salad read fantastically with Southern Fried Chicken, Asian Dressing on a rice noodle salad. What came out was a mouthful of vermicelli noodles, with some mixed salad, raw carrot and a some pieces of sliced chicken schnitzel. For 25, the price of a good Parma or Burger, this was lacklustre. As for the Pineapple Juice, the glass was half filled with ice, was 350ml, and cost 6. As a chef myself, I endeavour to find positives in every meal I eat and always always make it well known when my experience was good, but this was a waste of my time unfortunately.
Cool gallery with 3 rooms for exhibits, not overwhelming. The cafe was nice with plenty of room, good coffee and treats.
Whenever i pass through Benalla the Benalla Art Gallery has always some interesting exhibition. Also, their permanent collection is wonderful. Great cafe too. Always worth a visit.
Lovely place. Perfect for kids
Great setting. Good coffee and good food. Very enjoyable hour at the gallery.
A regional gem! Great collection, great exhibitions. Good cafe too. The staff are nice and professional, very helpful. There is also a nice park next to it as-well.
Visited this morning. Small. Bush Fire Exhibition excellent reminder for both adults and kids. Red roses in Gardens next door smell divine. Dunlop sculpture worth a close look. Overall a good short break before heading back on the Hume.
