We don’t miss this place whenever we are in the Grampians. Place of serenity! Great spot to relax after a long day.

Peaceful and beautiful. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the mountain goats near the lake.

A very tranquil lake on the day I was there winter 2020. Not a breath of wind leaving the surface like a mirror. Amenities include, toilets, playing area all ages, and camp/picnic tables in shaded areas.

Halls Gap is resplendent in walking tracks, and there's a trail all the way from town to this lake for those who enjoy a longer walk, or there's parking at both ends if you're driving. It's quite beautiful, and possible to walk along the wall and get views back across the lake. Worth a visit. And if you do visit, don't limit yourself to the end of the lake closest to town. The far end is quite different and lovely, and is worth a look too.

We stopped here to use the restroom. Be aware, like so many Victorian restrooms there is no soap! Make sure you have your own soap or hand sanitizer. The place itself was quite lovely. The mountain framed lake was sparkling. A beautiful red parrot was singing. There was a designated swimming area for warmer days. I believe this area may have also been a camping ground, but I didn't investigate further.

Safe, easy walk along the reservoir wall, surrounded by magnificent scenery. Done it a million times, but it never gets old!
