Truly one of the worst experiences I've had with a specialist. Reception is completely dysfunctional, and once, mistaking me for someone else, made a rude remark about me to me on the phone. Dr Standen was unhelpful, even when late on paperwork, and almost impossible to reach. You are told you need to make an appointment to get eg 30 seconds worth of information any other decent specialist would happily jump on the phone to give; you're also told to make an appointment (or at least pay for an appointment!) even if all you're doing is picking up a prescription. I have seen a lot of specialists in my time supporting my mother with a disability, and I have rarely felt so disregarded. I look back on the two appointments we had with extreme disappointment and tbh sadness.

Dr Alan lectures doctors around the country, he explains everything thoroughly, you will be blown away by his humility for such highly credentialed specialist. Dr Jane Standen saw my mother for knee pain and demonstrated care and a comprehensive understanding of the issue and it's impact on my mother's life. Often doctors can dismiss the level of pain that someone might be experiencing, however Dr Standen was compassionate, perceptive and generous in her advice and understanding. She took a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that all aspects were covered and every step was taken to minimise the pain. A lovely, professional and considerate doctor. Highly recommend.

Was my worst experience as I've been on worker comp. And dr jane standen deals with my situation on a basis commercial ! So upset of being there , I will never recommend it for anyone . Such a material way to act regarding a patient who chose you and trust !
