That’s what led to more research time on the computer (and more sore eyes!), as we learnt about digital eyestrain and the harmful effects of blue light not only in adults but also children. With the average Australian worker now spending an average of 6 hours a day staring at a screen, in addition to device time, they also need to protect their eyes from the effects of blue light. So that became our mission. To make computer glasses to help alleviate the symptoms of digital eye strain as well as filtering out the harmful blue violet light, but are also fashionable. And so Baxter Blue was born. Our Blue+ lens filters out the most harmful blue violet light whilst still allowing the good blue light in.
