I get charged a decent chunk of change for rates then I get charged extra for my bins and water then I get charged 7.60 to recycle an old gas heater weighing less then 10kg. If I question any charge I'm afraid I'll get charged.

For a council which in general does well with the upkeep of their LGA. The "customer service" is something to be desired, in this case, when attempting to sort out a car repair caused by council workers and which rendered the vehicle unusable - a delay of 3 days in accepting repairs responsibility and no offer of a rental vehicle in order to still travel to work (7 days until repairs can be made). With a flat "No" when an enquiry was made, and a follow up comment of 'you can risk that if you want', in response to a "what if I organised the rental and sent the bill?" question. Very poor service for a problem caused by council (accidental of course, but with little care to try and rectify it in a quick and simple manner).
