Although they also stock good products from Greece and the Middle East, I particularly love the stuff they bring in from Turkey, which I think is what they specialise in.

Will be better if Turkish Greek, & Italian language is availeble at the shop.

The arrange of items here that you cant find at coles or woolies is amazing

great supermarket, all the best imported Turkish, Greek, Italian foods and everything in between at cheap prices. You're better off shopping here than Coles.

I want to thank the lovely man who sold me the bread flour I needed today and then proceeded to carry it to my car and put it in the boot for me (12.5kg sacks X2). They are always lovely at Basfoods and often go above and beyond. To do this on a day/week of people being generally feral with stockpiling and aggressive behaviour was exemplary!

The place in Melbourne to visit for anything eatable from the Mediterranean Sea/Middle East region via the sub continent. Great shop everything from industrial quantities of everything from dried fruit... to rice... to the down right exotic stuff and you can’t get anywhere else content mixed with WTF stuff. Exact stocking varies greatly so it can be rather stark at times, if not looking for the fundamental pantry fillers. Availability is always a issue with importers though... if you time your visit just so though, Aladdins cave isn’t exaggerating.

Has a nice variety of groceries from fruit and vegetable pretty much all the stuff you need in a kitchen. There's a halál butcher beside parking is easy absolutely a nice spot to shop if you like ethnic food products
