I had a terrible move where the previous occupiers had shut off the power to the property and neither the landlord nor agent felt the need to tell us (super fun). Origin were excellent every step of the way, waived a whole bunch of fees, and helped me get the power on within 24 hours. A person always answered the phone within a couple of minutes and their communication was clear and friendly. I had to call AGL as part of the process and the comparison was STARK. I'd go with Origin every day of the week.

We are very happy with our experience with Origin. Our roof was not suitable for solar panels, but Riad found a solution. We are looking forward to having the new solar panels installed by Origin.
Don't recommend this company. I regret choosing Origin. Should of stuck with Energy Australia. 83 gas bill to a 153 one. Taking advantage & abusing disabled clients. Tried to get a bill extension & I got hung up on by a rude operator. Ended up finding out I could use the app to make a bill extension. The app is very delayed & doesn't work properly, so I got a late fee of 12. Thanks screw in the disabled person financially further. Complete lack of respect, rude customer service. Don't use this company. Biggest regret you'll make.
I would like to commend Origin Energy on the following: Excellent Customer service whenever I have called for assistance Customer service staff are friendly and take the time to explain the different plans and how you can benefit from one of their energy plans As a 'Financial Counsellor' I interact with Origin Energy on a regular basis and must say that they are always accommodating and understanding of my clients needs and genuinely want to help the client Origin Energy also assist their customers set up easy and affordable payment plans that suit the individual's budget and this is tremendously helpful not only to the client but also for the financial counsellor when advocating on behalf of the client I also like the fact that Origin Energy will reward a client or customer who is part of their payment plan by matching a payment at regular intervals and this keeps the client or customer motivated to stay on the payment plan and keep up with their energy bill Last but not the least, I like the fact that Origin Energy have diversified into other domestic areas like Internet and Broadband services. This is good and healthy competition and gives customers a choice in order to make an informed decision.
Choosing Origin Energy to manage my supply of Gas and Electricity was the best decision of 2017. Every time I speak to a customer service person, it feels like I'm chatting with a compassionate friend who understands my issue and gets my jokes!. I always come away with a discount or resolution and somehow my day improves. Love you guys 'cause you love me!!!
Origin Energy was extremely professional, easy to talk to and they provided exceptional customer services to their clients. I’m very satisfied with the service that they provided and how quick they were provide support for their clients. Also, their electricity prices were reasonable and affordable. I will definitely be choosing Origin Australia in the future!

Although Origin Energy is very easy to deal with and are mostly competitive, I would like to see them treat "long term" customers with the same attitude as they try to encourage new business. Offering the same discounts etc. without having to ring up to say "Hey you're giving these new customers 19% discount on the same PLAN that I'm on and I'm only getting 14%". Although Origin will update your plan if you do ring ....If you're not made AWARE then tough you don't get the discount. It would be a REAL GOOD "PR" exercise for you and help you to keep existing customers without the need for them to "SHOP AROUND" if they are treated FAIRLY........Just Saying....
