My puppy had been there since 2M old. He was always underweight even with large amount of dog food feeding. We mentioned this to the vets several times and never got serious concern. in 3.5 months later, my puppy died due to intolerance of the dog food and renal failure. My puppy had been there more than 5 times before another vet made the diagnosis for him. But it was all too late. I would never bring any pet here again. Very disappointing. After my puppy died, the nurse only cared about why I didn't bring my puppy there. Unacceptable!!

We moved to Balwyn 6 months ago and are so glad we found these guys for our 12 year old Maltese, Toby. Both the James' are fantastic with him. Special thanks to Ann and Christina for looking after our 8.5 week old cavoodle Audrey this weekend. She got hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and was very sick. The girls looked after her wonderfully for the day and helped us to arrange transfer to an ICU on Saturday night. It's now Sunday afternoon and Audrey is back home and on the mend. Thank you so much for saving our little girl.

A few weeks ago our 16 year old Cat Roxanne wasn't herself. She is a special part of the family and so naturally we were concerned and wanted nothing but the best care for her. I can not thank Elaine and her team enough. Weeks later and we have our "old cat back" Elaine and the team are true professionals. They have highly skilled and also up to date with the latest in care and health plans. We have been a client of the clinic for many years now. Our 3 dogs (Sophie 12 yrs old, Oprah 9 yrs old and Oscar 2 yrs old ) all attend the clinic and enjoy going - which is a true testament to the quality of care . The staff are all respectful, experienced, skilled and professional. They not only look after our pets but also us humans- seeing your fury family member sick is never fun and usually stressful- but they take us step by step though the plans. We would recommend this clinic to anyone. Your pets will be well cared for. Janice and David Aldred

The most professional, knowledgable and informative vet we have been to. Not over priced either!!! We made the change a couple of months ago and have dealt with a couple of the vets at Balwyn Central since then, they were all aware of our dog's condition and what had been discussed in previous consultations so each visit after was seemless and we didn't have to rehash old information as had been the case with the 3 others vet clinics we had been to. Record keeping is meticulous. Highly recommend the team at Balwyn Central

Review Dr Elaine Ong and her team is very reliable, friendly and caring for the little ones. My cat Milkis got extremely sick back in August, probably because he ate something poisonous, which led to immediate kidney failure. He was dehydrated and in an extremely dangerous condition at the time. I took him to the vet quite late on Friday, but Dr Elaine stayed late, got him tested and took prompt actions in a extremely professional way. During the weekend, I got update from the vet several times a day with photos and I was so glad whenever I heard that he was eating well (both dry and wet food were provided at all time) and being a good boy. After two days’ hard working, thanks for Dr. Elaine, Dr. Meredith and everyone, his condition finally got stabilised. Now, he is the playful, healthy and cutie boy again. Highly recommend this professional team with love and care! Wish all a happy and safe new year! (Here is the Milky who loves you all).

They killed my cat!!! I took my cat there due to kidney problem, and been told to keep him there for transfusion. They promised to look after him carefully. The next day when I came to check up on him, only found out that they kept him alone in a little dark room, no transfusion, no food, no water. They tried to block me outside when I arrived, but I found out anyway. I took him to another hospital immediately, but it's too late. Because they didn't treat him properly, my baby died soon after. I regret so much that I took him to this vet. I can't forgive myself and will never forgive them. They are murderers!!!

My mother and I have been clients of Dr Elaine Ong and her team since 1995, when the clinic was back in Box Hill. We now travel past multiple other vets in order to keep going here. Everyone who works there, from Vicki the receptionist to all of the amazing vets & nurses (we've seen pretty much all of them over the years, helping us care for multiple aging pets) are the most compassionate, ethical, highly skilled team you could hope for. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they go above & beyond to provide the best possible care - both for the animals they look after, but also us humans. I am also in awe of the amount of voluntary animal welfare work they do thru their charity, Vets for Compassion. Your four-legged family member could not be in better hands!

Elaine and her team support by doing vet work for the Little Urchin Wildlife Sanctuary and for this alone they should be congratulated and praised. So many vets wont support them because they are too busy. How we treat animals is a sign of who we are as people. Thankyou
