Please do all you can to avoid this place. Just attended my father's GP to get stress echo result only to find out that the finding was not sufficient. This is purely because the staff only did one round of procedure when the standard should be two. The report stated no chest pain when my father suffered enormous agony. However, my dad did stress echo before at St Vincent and the staff were definitely much better. Both times, I attended with my dad and this time they wouldn't allow any communication with my assistance. This surely confirms the practice is only for profit and absolutely not for any care.
Great staff, a hassle free experience. Thank you!
Balaclava staff not friendly. They mucked me around with my appointment and I had two people call to reschedule my appointment and both gave different times. I arrived 5mins late due to traffic and made feel like I had committed a crime and yet the waiting room was completely empty when I arrived and when I left and the whole procedure only took 5mins. Trying to call to make another appointment is time consuming as you are put on hold what seems like forever. I attempted to make a follow up appt via email only for it to bounce back! Am now looking to go elsewhere even if it is further away from home.
Very rude and unfriendly staff at the Balaclava clinic. The admin and technician have no active listening skills and don’t bother engaging with you or forwarding on information or questions, even if they indicate they will follow up for you. I would rather pay more and have a more professional service with staff who can actively listen
Staff at the front desk are friendly enough, registration and record keeping is terrible. They don't bulk bill some test items and are fully patient funded. however, they still request Medicare number. I don't know why they would want this when you are out of pocket for the whole amount. I hope they aren't double charging. The next day I came in for a different test that was fully bulk billed. They asked me to fill in the same information including name, address, DOB, Medicare, next of kin, contact number ans so on... pretty much everything that they had me fill in the day before. What was amazing after taking all my Medicare details including exporyfor this bulk billed test and they have taken down Medicare number including expiry date, however they asked of I could provide private health details. After all this, you end up waiting anyway. The registration process was agonising. You go through enough paperwork to write a small children's book. Also irrelevant pay information is requested and in some cases drivers license number. I will just put this down to poor management. As I mentioned, the staff member at the from desk was friendly and professional in her approach, it was a bit different when I went in for stress echo, staff member (technician) who prepared me had no people skills. She seems to be unprofessional, abrupt, and borderline rude. The other person who actually run test was polite and communicated the best f her ability. The person administering the stress test was professional. I had all these tests done at the Alfred heart centre in the past and it was more seamless and all tests were cinducted in a professional manner. Qestions remain; Was the experience worth it? may be not, provided we have alternative. Would I let my doctor refer me to this place again? Probably not, as I may have to do everything all over again seeing the record keeping is poor.
Friendly staff during my checkup
