There is actually amazing food here including a vegetarian /vegan option selection. Appears to always be well cooked and comes quick. They seem to share the next door premises (pizza shop) and also deliver food in a shared website with an online ordering option. The fare ranges from something as simple as a parma to something as complicated as a well cooked well seasoned excellently made pasta dish. The burgers are always excellent and definitely some of the best burgers I have tasted in the countryside. By far the best vegan burger I've ever eaten.

The atmosphere was friendly and totally relaxed . The food is yummy . Special mention of the Mexican take of the family favourite chicken parmigiana. Simply superb, highly recommend this dish . A hearty meal and taste absolutely delicious. A hot hearty meal , full of flavour with a tinge of spice .
Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the meals were awesome. The lamb and feta pizza was a highlight. We tried 4 dishes and they were all good portions and good value. Our host was awesome.
FILO chicken & mushroom basket was so delicious! Nice environment with friendly waiter. She said the bushfires have been effecting the business. Here became so quiet, if people come from Melbourne could stay here, have a meal, will be very helpful!
Brilliant Service and atmosphere. Staff are the most helpful and easy people. We felt very looked after here. Seafood that we ordered was on point.

If you're not local or white they won't serve you. Dan Andrews sent us Melbournians out to regional vic saying you needed our tourism dollar but when we got there we found out very quickly that they don't want anything from anyone who comes from Melbourne. You're not even allowed in the door and did I tell you there is only one other restaurant open in this town and the other one won't serve Melburnians either. Don't drive 4-5hrs to eat Macca's and get called a 'boong' by the staff of Rustic River Eats. Just stay in Melbourne.
