Really disappointed and actually quite shocked at their very dishonest conduct. My teenage daughter had her Suzuki swift serviced and repaired here previously, and they seemed very helpful and professional. The car was making a noise when breaking so we needed it looked at urgently, but on examination she was told the rear shock absorbers needed replacing, so she paid for a service and around 500 for shock absorber replacement. A year later and my other teenage daughters took her swift in for a log book service, having noticed no issues. I was called and told the car needed around 2200 worth of repairs, including both front and rear shock absorbers needed replacing and new front brakes and rotors. Because the car had been driving fine, I was not convinced these repairs needed doing. When I picked up the car I was told the front brakes were terrible and had only 1 weeks worth of wear left. I took the car to another trusted mechanic we use for our company vehicles for a check over, without mentioning what automasters had recommended. We asked them to particularly check the brakes and shock absorbers. We were shocked to be told that the front brakes had over 50% left and the shock absorbers were all fine!! I now wonder if the other car needed it's shock absorbers replaced either, as other mechanics have told me with the age and make of my car it's something that rarely needs doing. Beware what repairs you are told you need. It would pay to have recommendations checked prior to forking out for repairs if everything has been fine. My daughters won't be back again...I think they were taken advantage of because of their age!
