We had Shoyu ramen and chicken cold noodle. I really like the chicken cold noodle, mix with their homemade chili oil more tasty. But shoyu ramen not that rich flavor as I had in Japan. If someone prefer mild flavor maybe would like it. The ramen broth is full of bonito smell, quiet different with other ramen shop I had before.

We have taken away from here and eaten here a few times over the last few months. The really stand out is the curry, the ebi prawn curry seems to work best, and the normal curry has a lot of beef. We tend to go to their sister restaurant in crows nest more often as it is closer, this place is still one of the best for homestyle Japanese cooking.
My partner and I are regulars here. We always order the ramen. However there were two occasions where this place was disappointing. First was when we ordered tonkotsu ramen and an extra special egg. The lady took our order and we paid, but only to get a normal egg later. When asked, she said that they ran out of special eggs. But we paid the same price and she didn’t inform us. Second occasion was another time I ordered tonkotsu ramen again. All I got was a thin small one piece of pork. I don’t recall they were so stingy with meat. Asked the waitress and she said yes, only one slice. In the picture on the menu, it looks like at least two slices? The photo I attached is before I ate the ramen. Very expensive for 15 (without egg) ! I gave 3 stars because the other times the ramen was very good. And the curry that mypartner ordered tasted great and good quantity. Just wonder why they gave so little for the ramen....
Have eaten a couple of times here - very consistent with quality flavours. Beautiful ramen options which take me back to Japan.
Their pork katsu curry is amazing, lots of flavour and quite a large serve. Despite their name, the Ramen is not very good, the soup base is too salty. It is an authentic Japanese place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the seating is a bit random and haphazard as you just choose your own spot, and can get quite busy. Sitting outside it’s quite nice though
Love this place. Great range of food and service is much quicker than past years.
This was my first time visiting Ramen Genki and it was an experience that I am going to remember. I can't wait to go back when I next have an opportunity. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We sat along the bar type table facing the kitchen, watching the food being prepared. I thought the prices were very reasonable and loved the cafe style location and vibe. If you like Japanese food I recommend making the trip to experience this place.
Have no idea how can they still survive! Soup is worse than instant ramen from lucky mart next door. Jesus. Don't try it if you are a ramen enthusiast
