Be careful if purchasing ice for mixing in your drinks, I purchased a 5 kg bag from my local convenience store, cut the bag open with a very sharp knife as i always do and used it for my drinks. I have found 6 pieces of plastic in my drinks over the weekend, the biggest being around 20 mm long.

I want to thank Arctic Ice for the great service I experienced. I was only purchasing 2.5kg of dry ice for the first time. The service I received exceeded my expectations. They extended their opening hour to help me out. Arctic Ice was safety concious and provided great safety advice for the material handling. I will be back again and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

Do not use this company for Dry Ice!. Its a pity that I have to award them 1 Star. Bought a 20kg (7-8 days) for a 5-6 day trip. This was the advice we were given after explaining how the ice would stored and under what conditions. After 3 days the ice was nearly gone. Ice was stored in a high quality Esky which holds ice for 7 days (and I've proven that it does this). Another Esky was used for day to day use so that the big Esky would only be opened once or twice a day. I rang the office twice before finally getting a response. No matter what I said I felt there would be an excuse for what happened to the ice. I offered to bring in the Esky we used and date stamped pictures of what was left of the ice after 3 days - not interested! Based on all his "reasons" dry ice is useless for most applications! In the end the final excuse was that the person who sold us the Dry Ice was not an expert in Dry Ice so could not give use the correct information. Even though the info we were given on size was the same as on their website. Shame on you for blaming your staff for the quality of your product. In the end our holiday was spoilt as we had to come home 2 days early and we have lost camping fees for 2 days.

I bought a block of dry ice a couple of weeks ago on quite a hot day. I asked the guy in the office if I should bring my esky in, to minimise handling and exposure to the heat. Office guy was quite distant and really didn't seem to care for anything other than making the sale. I ended up with quite a large burn on my arm from carrying the dry ice block from their office to my car. This is their profession. If there is a risk of injury, they have a duty of care to try and prevent that... Yet they didn't. If I could rate these guys lower, I would. Last time I bought dry ice, it was from a mob called Gilrow Engineering - they were all about great customer service. Next time, I'll definitely be trekking across town just to avoid the negligence and incompetence of Arctic Ice.

-10 FOR SERVICE, -10 FOR ETHICS AND -10 FOR PRODUCT. What a joke of a business couldn't give a rats about anything other than ripping consumers off. SHAME ON YOU ARCTIC ICE!
